I have been very behind on updating my blog, so this post is over a week late. But, I need to post it to fulfill my goal!
First of all, the entirety of last week (by "last week," I mean July 17th-23rd) was amazing. My birthday was last Wednesday, but basically the entire week was my "birthweek." My family and I spent the weekend of that week in Park City, where we hiked the Iron Canyon Trail. The Iron Canyon Trail, from my understanding, is not as well known. The trailhead is in a neighborhood, and I could not find much information on it. I only knew about it because I came across it while doing some research on the internet. It was 2.2 miles round-trip, so it was not a long one, but it was pretty. Almost the entire trail was through wooded areas, which provided a lot of shade. At the end, you overlook Park City. Many parts of the trail were rocky, which made going down an adventure. Overall, it was a nice, short hike that provided a great view of the city. It was not crowded at all, and we went on a Saturday, which is usually a very popular day to go hiking. I would definitely recommend it as a short hike for those spending any time in Park City.
That's all I really have to say about last weekend's hike. More to come soon on the hike I took this weekend...*cue elevator music.*
